There are a lot of different cars on the market these days. There is really something for everyone. If you like large cars or small cars or even tiny cars you will be able to find the kind of car that you want. I personally like the hatches. Here are a few reasons why.
The first and most important is that I find hatches a lot easier to handle than most other kinds of cars. They do not have a large boot which makes them a lot shorter. They also tend to have a shorter wheel base than most of your sedans and four by four vehicles. These two things mean that hatches can get into and out of spaces that a sedan or four by four would not even consider trying to get into or out of. The hatchback is also a very light vehicle. This means that even a small person will be able to handle the vehicle with ease, even if they did not have power steering.
The next important thing about hatches is that they tend to have low fuel consumption. This is generally because they have the same sized engine as your larger and heavier sedans but the engine does not have to move as much weight. This means that the engine does not need to put out as much power. This means that they will use less fuel to get the same distance as a sedan.
Hatches also make really great family cars. They are not as small inside as they seem to be from the outside. The boot looks small but with a little skill you can fit almost as much into the boot of a hatchback as you would be able to get into a sedan. The inside also has enough leg room for the kids in the back and for the parents in the front. You should be able to fit a family of five in a hatchback quite easily. It does get challenging when you have a teenage daughter and go on holiday, but even a four-by-four would have trouble with that scenario. The only solution is to make sure she has a trailer all to herself.
If you like to drive fast you do not need to worry about lack of performance in hatches. They are available with larger engines and turbo chargers and all the other lovely things that make cars go faster. They can be very sporty, nippy little cars if you get the right one. Just be aware that you might get a bit more torque steer in a hatchback than in a sedan with similar specs because the car is so much lighter.
As I am sure you can see by now, hatches are really lovely little cars. They are easy to handle because of their small size and low weight. They can easily find somewhere to park when sedans are driving around looking for a gap big enough. They are lighter on petrol than a sedan with a similar engine would be too. What is not to like?
